Introduction

pic1Mount Carmel Ministries is a non-profit, Christ-centered corporation which is governed by a Board of Trustees. The areas within our ministry are: Mount Carmel Conference Center, Mount Carmel Summer Family Camp, Daily Texts, and Walk Thru the Bible seminars. We are celebrating our 75th year of ministry on the shores of Lake Carlos and excited to see how God will continue to bless us, grace upon grace! (John 1:16)

pic9Mount Carmel Summer Family Camp includes six weeks of family camp (for all ages), including five week long family camps and two mini-week family camps, as well as other programs in 2013. After breakfast, we begin our day with uplifting worship and go into our program for the morning, with a variety of speakers, professors, pastors, and teachers each week. The youth take part in uplifting worship and Bible lessons with counselors, and meet back with their family for lunch together. Afternoons have a variety of activities available including the beach, games, boating, arts and crafts, tours, to name a few. After supper, the evening programs may include campfires, talent shows, concerts, games, and communion worship.

pic2Elderversity is a 'camp' designed for senior adults, held for three or five days at Mount Carmel. Similar to summer Family Camps, the days are geared toward in depth learning, fun activities, and plenty of socializing and relaxation - and great food! Or go on a pontoon ride with the director or enjoy a walk among the many walking paths. Why should the kids have all the fun? Can't adults go to camp too?

PastureRetreat & Conference Center - a year-round destination for your retreat, conference, business or family event.

dt_cover_2013Daily Texts is a yearly publication from Mount Carmel that contains a collection of Bible verses and prayers for each day of the year in a beautiful booklet format. The tradition of Daily Texts began in 1722 when Nicolaus Ludwig Count von Zinzendorf provided shelter for religious refugees arriving from Bohemia and Moravia. This community of believers shared morning and evening devotions, consciously placing their lives under the Lord's watch. On May 3, 1728, Zinzendorf gave his congregation a watchword or verse for the help shape the conversation in the homes. Thus began the practice of Daily Texts. Mount Carmel uses the daily versions from Moravians, adds a daily prayer, hymns, and other devotional materials, into this wonderful devotional booklet made available each year.

Walk Thru the Bible is a five hour seminar in your church, which explores either the Old or New Testament.
