Family camping is a great way to make special memories with your family in 2013. There are five full and two half weeks of family camps this summer - with lots of variety in themes. Whenever you decide to come you'll enjoy Bible studies for the adults, Bible lessons and activities for youth, music, great food, laughter, the many activities on and in Lake Carlos, recreation in the great summer sunshine and yes, even some rest!
June 22-28 “God’s Call in Scripture” (Fine Arts Week) with Steve Dornbusch, our main speaker, is taking us on a journey through scripture. Laura Secrist, directing the children's musical, "Oh, Jonah!" Milton and Andrew Scott, leading an Adult Choir, Chime Choir, and Worship. Paul Oman, biblical mural painting Kevin Doely, ventriloquism, a blend of comedy, story telling, and music.
June 29-July 5 “Discover Your Call” with Wendy Berthelsen, will teach on how the Lord calls ordinary people like you! Carl Billings, a pastor for over 30 years, will be sharing the Good News. July 6-12 “God’s Call to Faith Formation.. at Home and Church” with Tim Coltvet, shaping the lives of children, youth and families. Michelle Spahr, Missional Identity for Women; Missional Mommas! Brian Spahr, Living as a Family on a Mission; Missional Rhythms. Jonathan Swenson, Authentic Men of God & Useful Tools for Men's Ministry Jean Ranstrom, oil & pastel painting classes
(You may register for either Mini-Week, or both) July 13-16 Taste Worship! with Peder Eide www.pedereide.com singer and song writer, worship leader Families Drawing Closer to God & Closer to Each other Peter will teach, lead worship, and give a special praise concert on Sunday night
July 16-19 God’s Masterpiece In & Through You! with Troy & Sara Groves www.saragroves.com nationally renowned singer and songwriter Explore family rituals, traditions, and a common faith roadmap for the modern family Troy and Sara will teach and lead a reflective worship concert on Wednesday night
July 20-26 “Genesis – Great Stories of Faith” with Steve Paulson and Chris Croghan, teaching the great stories of faith in Genesis Paul Oman, biblical mural painting Jean Ranstrom, oil & pastel paintings
July 27- August 2 “God’s Call to Missions” with Richard Bliese, what lakes are we crossing with Jesus in mission? Kevin Doely, ventriloquist, a blend of comedy, story telling, music Jean Ranstrom, oil & pastel paintings
You can stay in our campground with specially designed spaces for rv camping, bring your tent, stay in one of our cabins (either new, remodeled or traditional), or enjoy a motel-style room in our Lodge. Mount Carmel is a Christian camp for all ages where the gospel is experienced and lived out each day as we share in community together. We hope you are able to join us for some time apart with your family this summer. We welcome you and your family this year to one of our retreats or camps!
