Volunteers Needed - Starting May 6th!
We are working hard to get Mount Carmel ready for family camp! There is so much that needs to be done, and your time and energy are a blessing to us!
Projects
Projects are available at all skill levels for men and women who enjoy working hard with others at Mount Carmel. We need help in the following areas:
- Landscaping: Mulching, weeding, planting & watering, tree trimming, clearing out debris, etc
- Hospitality: Kitchen food prep & baking, dining area prep & cleanup, greeter or host
- Construction: Carpentry, drywall, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing and flooring
- Maintenance: Seasonal cabin startup, staining, painting & scraping of cabins, decks, picnic tables & blue chairs
- Cleaning: Beach cleanup, dusting, vacuuming & cleaning of cabins, lodge & chapel
Benefits
Volunteers have access to WiFi, a library, and the possibility to attend some of our activities during retreats. Volunteers who do not live locally are provided with housing when available. Campground facilities with electrical and water hookups are available. Meals are provided when possible. When our kitchen staff is not present housing with kitchens is.
When
We need volunteers all year, but especially May 6th until Family Camp starts on June 22nd. Volunteer coordinators will be on site to answer any questions and help you find the tools you need for the project. We will also have a volunteer weekend. This has been a Mount Carmel tradition for years! On this weekend, volunteers will help open up the non-winterized cabins.
