More Than a Work Weekend

Every nail driven, every garden bed turned, every cabin scrubbed clean is an act of hospitality for the thousands of families and youth who will walk these grounds. Volunteers have been the heartbeat of Mount Carmel for generations — and that tradition continues starting May 2026.

Whether you come for a single day or a whole week, you'll leave knowing you've helped build something that outlasts you — a place where the gospel is proclaimed, community is formed, and lives are changed on the shores of Lake Carlos.

Good to Know

On volunteer weekends, coordinators are fully present to welcome you, answer questions, and match you with the right work. During weekdays in May, coordinators are on-site but focused on their own responsibilities — so weekday visitors should come ready to work independently.

Two Weekends. One Mission.

We have two scheduled volunteer weekends this spring — and on these weekends, we take care of you completely. Meals, housing, tools, coordination — everything is provided so you can show up and serve.

Throughout May

Week-Long & Individual Visits

If you'd like to come for a full week or outside of the scheduled weekends, we'd love to have you — and there is no shortage of projects. However, our coordinators are busy with their own work during the week, so this option is best suited for skilled, highly self-directed volunteers who are comfortable finding their footing independently. Housing is provided when available; meals are not guaranteed outside of weekend events.
